Benriach Moscatel Wood Finish 22 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

Unusual for a Speyside malt, the BenRiach Dunder is distilled from PEATED MALTED BARLEY. The whisky is matured in American oak casks and then finished in DARK RUM BARRELS. Dunder is the name of the cane-juice residue left in the still after distillation; traditionally used as a yeast source in the fermentation process of Jamaican rum. Bottled at natural colour and non chill filtered.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE:An intriguing, delicate fl oral peat smoke floods over cinnamon-spiced apple sponge. Crisp white pepper adds a gentle warmth to the nose.

COLOUR:Bright summer gold.

TASTE:Roasted apples and pears dusted with demerara sugar and lemon peel, all infused with a crisp barley sweetness and lingering wood smoke character.
