2010 Bruichladdich Islay Barley Unpeated Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

The Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2010 is a no age statement single malt matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Rivesaltes, JuranÇon and Banyuls French wine casks. Like all Bruichladdich's whisky, this expression is non-chill filtered, it's bottled at 50% ABV with no artificial colouring added. The average price for this whisky is around $65. Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2010 whisky is said to have been produced and distilled from the consolidation of harvests from eight farms across Islay.

On the nose, you'll get a wonderful aroma of orchard fruits (red apples & pears), salt, barley, floral notes, toffee, sugar, vanilla and butterscotch.

The palate is viscous and rich, you'll get wonderful custard notes, burnt toffee, boiled apples, floral notes and syrup ... absolutely wonderful. The finish is long with salt and citrus notes.

This is a very interesting and high quality single malt from Bruichladdich. It's rich, intense and complex. Highly recommended.
